A moment of serene timelessness has been captured in a cooly frosted bottle. Almost the definition of an aquatic, L’Eau d’Issey was inspired by Miyake’s Japanese love for tranquil ponds and dislike of vulgar, potent powerhouse fragrances. Thus acclaimed perfumer Jacques Cavallier composed a light halo of a scent: Limpid, humid, with a fresh opening with yuzu (an unusual Japanese citrus fruit) segueing into a lovely heart of spice (both nutmeg and the dewy-smelling water lilly flower) on a soft base of woody vetiver and musks. The perfect scent for the office -hard not to like this one!- but also surprisingly intimate and subtle when worn on a date. Ladies just love it!
